Spurs edge Lakers in war of attrition, 92-87.

Both teams did not shoot the ball well, so one point seemed like a mile of advantage over the opponent, as the Spurs did just enough to win this game. The quarters were split 26-22, SA; 10-13, LA; 28-23, SA & 28-29, LA. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led the Lakers with 20 points on a night with both of LA's biggest weapons struggling to be effective: LeBron James shot 4-13, going 0-4 from long range with 4 turnovers, to score only 11 points (with 10 assists) & Anthony "A.D." Davis scoring 15 points & 10 rebounds (0-3 3PT).

For San Antonio, its strongest weapons proved to be the difference with Ingram scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds after two poor games with 2 steals & Dejounte Murray dropping 22 points and 7 assists. They got some help from Fred VanVleet's 11 points and PJ Tucker's, the two stalwart defenders hitting six threes between them. Andre Drummond had a quiet scoring night, but corralled 14 rebounds. The Spurs had their own problems, as Kent Bazemore shot just 1-6 & Joe Harris went 3-11, 2-9 from 3PT range.
